Short notice, sorry... but no one told me about this, I stumbled across the news that tomorrow is the auction of a bunch of antiques from Knott's Berry Farm

the online catalog alone is worth a look.. the collected stuff from the old days when the place was family owned is incredible... if there was something that was going to fit in an Old West saloon, it's at the auction because the stuff was eventually relegated to storage... or phased out by the new corporate owners.

Auction results, AMX3, Tucker #44

Another AMX 3, a red one, went for about the same price a couple years ago... so, that's the going rate for a Bizzarini/BMW/AMX concept car - prototype.

Not bad for pulling it out of long term storage because it was never in good enough condition to run reliably.... but when #43 went for about 3 million, well, that was all it took for Tucker owners to loosen their grip on the cars they never drove anyway, and it was flatbedded around for publicity the 2nd half of last year.
